Learn about FlyBox policies related to cancellations, billing commitments, payment issues, employee security, and how your items are protected.

Updated over a month ago

What is FlyBox’s cancellation policy?

You may cancel your FlyBox membership any time before your next renewal.

  • Canceling stops future charges

  • Fees already billed are non-refundable

  • Each FlyBox plan has a 3-month minimum commitment, billed monthly

How to cancel in the app

  1. Open the FlyBox app

  2. Go to Profile › Membership › Manage Membership

  3. Select Cancel Entire Membership and follow the prompts

Before canceling, make sure:

  • Your account is in good standing (no past-due balance)

  • Any FlyBoxes you wish to retrieve have been scheduled in the app

If you need help, chat with a live agent in the app.

Can I pause my membership?

At this time, FlyBox does not offer the ability to pause a membership.

FlyBox plans:

  • Are billed monthly

  • Renew automatically every three months

  • Can be canceled before renewal to prevent additional charges

Tip: If you only need certain items temporarily, retrieve the FlyBoxes you need and cancel before your next renewal date.

What happens if I don’t pay or don’t update my payment method?

If a payment fails:

  • A $25 late fee may apply after a 7-day grace period

  • You’ll receive notifications to update your payment method

  • Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal

If payment issues continue:

  • Account access may be restricted

  • Under the FlyBox Service Agreement, unpaid balances may result in a lien

  • After required notice periods, stored items may be sold to recover outstanding balances

FlyBox makes multiple attempts to contact you before any enforcement action is taken.

Does FlyBox conduct background checks on employees?

Yes.

All FlyBox employees involved in storage and fulfillment operations undergo background checks.

Additional security measures include:

  • Restricted facility access for authorized personnel only

  • 24/7 video monitoring at storage facilities

What happens to my items if FlyBox goes out of business?

FlyBox has contingency plans in place to protect customer property.

In the unlikely event of business closure:

  • Customers would receive advance notice

  • Clear instructions would be provided for retrieving or transferring stored items safely

Why does FlyBox use monthly billing with 3-month renewals?

FlyBox operates on a 3-month plan commitment, billed monthly, to ensure storage space, logistics, and operational resources are reserved for your items.

Plans renew automatically every three months unless canceled before renewal.

What your membership includes

  • Shipment of FlyBoxes to your door

  • FREE pick-ups and FREE shipping back to storage

  • FREE use of FlyBoxes and included packing materials

  • Secure, climate-controlled storage with 24/7 monitoring

Why plans are non-refundable

Once a plan begins, storage space and logistics are allocated for the full commitment period. For this reason, charges already billed are non-refundable, even if a FlyBox is retrieved early.

You may continue using your FlyBox through the end of your plan and cancel before the next renewal.

How much does a retrieval cost?

A retrieval is when you request a stored FlyBox to be delivered back to you.

Standard retrieval pricing

  • $15 per FlyBox

  • Flat-rate nationwide within the contiguous United States

  • No distance-based or mileage fees

Information for early adopters

If you were one of our early adopters, your account may include a different retrieval rate based on the plan you originally signed up for.

If this applies:

  • Your original retrieval pricing continues to be honored

  • No action is required

  • The FlyBox app will always show the correct price before you confirm a retrieval

Returns to storage are always FREE.
Optional signature-required delivery is available for $5 per retrieval.
