What is a Retrieval?
A retrieval is when you request one of your stored FlyBoxes to be delivered back to you. It's how you get your items returned from our secure facility to any address you choose within the contiguous U.S. Each retrieval is processed as a shipment request — and FlyBox offers flexible, discounted pricing to make the experience easy and cost-effective.
How do I retrieve my FlyBox?
Retrieving your FlyBox is simple:
Open the FlyBox app
Go to the Stored at FlyBox section
Select the FlyBox you want to retrieve
Choose or add your delivery address
Pay any applicable retrieval fees and confirm your request
Your FlyBox will be shipped to your designated address within the contiguous U.S.
Where can I retrieve my FlyBox?
Anywhere in the contiguous United States.You are not limited to the address where it was originally picked up — simply select or enter a new address during your retrieval request in the app.
Is there a minimum storage commitment?
Yes. FlyBox requires a minimum 3-month storage commitment for each FlyBox. Prepaid fees are non-refundable if you retrieve before the end of this commitment.
How do retrieval fees work?
FlyBox offers flexible pricing to help you manage retrievals:
Discounted Retrievals: You earn one $10 discounted retrieval per FlyBox stored each quarter. These are pooled credits — meaning they can be applied to the retrieval of any of your FlyBoxes, not just the one they’re tied to.
Standard Retrievals: After using all available discounted retrievals, additional retrievals during the same quarter are $30 per FlyBox.
Optional Signature Required: Add delivery protection for $5 per retrieval.
Think of discounted retrievals like credits. The more FlyBoxes you store, the more $10 retrieval credits you receive — and you can use them however you choose across your stored boxes.
When do I receive more discounted retrievals?
Your discounted retrievals renew quarterly — every three months from the date each FlyBox was added.Each FlyBox you add starts its own quarterly cycle, and you’ll earn another $10 discounted retrieval with each new cycle.
Do unused discounted retrievals carry over?
Yes! Any unused discounted retrievals do not expire — you can save and use them later, giving you flexibility to retrieve your items whenever it works best for you.
Can I retrieve multiple FlyBoxes at once?
Yes. You can retrieve as many FlyBoxes as you need in a single request. Each retrieval is billed individually, and available discounted retrievals will be applied automatically.
Can I choose which FlyBoxes to retrieve?
Absolutely. You can search by name, description, or photo in the app to select the specific FlyBoxes you want to retrieve.
Can I request Signature Required deliveries?
Yes. You can select Signature Required when scheduling your retrieval for an additional $5 per shipment. Without it, FedEx may deliver your FlyBox to anyone available at the delivery location. Signature Required adds an extra layer of protection.
